Why we do this
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to homelessness. Weekly outreach provides meals, clean water, socks, hygiene kits, meaningful conversation, and prayer.
Rain or shine, the team shows up because trust is built over time. Once trust exists, case managers connect people to resources, advocate, and remain beside them until they are off the streets.
What you’ll do
- Meet the team and prepare food and supplies at Metro Relief headquarters.
- Ride out on the Metro bus.
- Serve meals and distribute hygiene kits, clothing, socks, and other essentials.
- Listen, talk, and build trusting relationships.
Important information
The bus currently accommodates 15 volunteers, so individuals and groups should book early. Recurring groups from businesses, churches, organizations, and schools are welcome.
Participants complete a brief waiver. Wear closed-toe shoes, modest clothing, and no leggings. Come ready to serve and listen.
